A beautiful bud vase decorated with delicate hand painted and gilded apple blossoms along with other spring flowers. The mark tells us that this lovely piece was produced in 1892, nearly 125 years ago.
CONDITION is great with nothing but a little soling on the bottom to report, no chips, cracks, or repairs. Along with the date code which is the little dot on the left side of the crown over the 'R' in Royal Worcester, the marks on the bottom are as follows - Rd. No. 68828 is the patent registration number for the design, the large printed numbers "1215" are the mold number, and the hand painted initial is that of the gilder which was a way for the factory to keep track of the expensive 22K gold used in the studio - lots of info here. Measures 6 3/8" tall. The bulbous belly measures approximately 3" in diameter, and the diameter across the top is about 5/8".
This is a lovely piece of antique Royal Worcester that will look great in your cabinet or on your sill holding a bloom or two come spring. Treat yourself or someone special. Enjoy!
