If you're looking for something a little different for your Christmas decorating, how about this fantastic pair of vintage store displays? These festive trees were professionally constructed of heavy sheet steel and painted with brilliant red paint - they're just super. Geometric, with an upbeat modern vibe, they were built better than most cars and will undoubtedly last even longer. They will blend in with a modern or Mid Century decor, but contrast beautifully in an antique setting.
These have served sentry duty by my front door, and stood on floor and tables in different rooms depending on my mood come time to decorate. You can fill them with twinkling lights, vine balls, a collection of nutcrackers, or just about anything - but I love their pure un-embellished geometric presence best - sometimes simplicity is most eloquent.
CONDITION is as you see it. There are a three small areas of paint loss (two on the bases, the smallest on one top edge) and one tiny dent on an edge, all visible in the photos. I don't suppose it would be difficult to touch them up should you want to, but it's never bothered me in all the years I've had them, and they have not deteriorated any further. 1970's - 1980's. Sizable pieces, each measures 43 1/2" tall, with a base footprint of 22" x 17". The 'tree' overhangs the base by 1" on each long side.
These are large and versatile pieces that you will treasure for years to come. Enjoy!
