Here's a Lovely Miniature Snuff Box in the form of a Piano. It features lots of detail with vignettes top and bottom. The front opens to reveal not only the keyboard, but also the strings. The side opens to reveal the inside, which is gold washed. It bears 3 sets of hallmarks. One set is the British Marks, indicating it is Sterling, and imported in 1900 by Samuel Boyce Landeck. There's a second set on the top of a fleur de lis, plus 2 other marks. The third set is on the inner lip, and it's a lion passant and the "F" import mark.
Nice Size, this Miniature Treasure measures 2 3/4" long x 1 1/4" wide x 1 1/2" high. It weighs 74.5 gms.
Condition is Excellent, except someone scratched the interior lid (see photo), scraping off the gold wash.
