Here's a Traditional Sterling Silver Concho Belt hand wrought by Navajo artisan, Roger Skeet Jr (b. 1932). Mr Skeet was taught by his famous father, Roger Skeet Sr, a smith for C. G. Wallace. Most likely the same tools used by the father were also used in the making of this Handsome Concho Belt. This is a medium weight belt, perfect to wear any day or evening by a man or a woman. It is fully signed for Roger Skeet Jr., and tested for Sterling Silver.
This Exceptional Belt Features a rectangular buckle that measures 2 3/8" x 2 ¾". It has 8 Conchos that measure 2 ½" x 2 3/16", and weigh 23.7 gms each. The 7 "Butterflies" measure 1 7/8" x 1 1/8". The Overall weight of the whole Concho Belt is 357.4 grams, about 11 1/2oz. The belt strap is 1" wide and 41 ¼" long. This belt can be worn slung low on the hips, or, you can slip a concho or two off to wear at the waist. If you've never worn a Concho Belt before, you're going to be amazed at how wearable, versatile, comfortable and stunning they are.
