Delightfully simple and so elegant, are these four hand painted porcelain place cards.
They were decorated by the studio of Ambrosius Lamm. According to the mark they were produced in the early 1940's. (Dresden was bombed in 1944 during World War II).
Lamm was considered one of the most sought after porcelain decorators in the Dresden style at this time in history. He was known as a perfectionist and would only decorate items that he received from famous porcelain manufacturers in Meissen, Germany.
This set includes gilt trimming around the center, setting off an area in which to write your guests' names. (It will wipe off the porcelain if you use pencil or non-permanent marker). The edges are unadorned.
No chips or cracks. Lovely condition!
* Please note*....We have another set of 9 Lamm place cards with gold gilt around the edges if you need more. They are identical in size and blend together beautifully. (see our picture)
