We just love this unusually painted Dresden porcelain tray! It is an ornate scalloped form with hand painted gilt enhancing the rims. The hand painted yellow alpine flowers are expertly painted. Wouldn't it be a shame to place this on a dresser and obscure the design with a brush and comb or jars? We'd love to see it hanging on a wall, instead.
This came from the Dresden, Germany studio of Richard Klemm. It dates somewhere between 1891 and 1920.
