This lovely reticulated porcelain bowl is formed in the shape of a leaf with a handle at one point. The florals on the rim appear to be hand painted. The gold embellishments are hand painted and set off the "lattice" or lace effect nicely. This piece is very much like the items offered at the turn of the century by the well known (and lesser known) porcelain painting studios in Dresden.
The gold embellishments and floral rim are handpainted. The central nosegay appears to be a transfer (like many Schumann pieces) with hand painting on top of several of the flowers (the large pink one and most of the small purple ones.)
The mark has us bamboozled. We couldn't find it in any of our books. We would be thrilled if anyone can offer an idea!
