BRADLEY & HUBBARD Brass Frame with Oval Opening marked with Triangle and Lantern mark; also "PAT'D. OCT. 20.08". Measures approximately 4 1/2" x 6 1/2" overall; oval opening slightly larger than 3" x 4 1/8". Square design of concentric boxes gives this frame, part of a desk set, an Art Deco look---works well with modern interiors. Original slide-in back and easel; blown glass. At the top of the frame, upside down, you can see the patent date. The familiar triangle and lantern mark is just behind the brass easel on the back. B&H was founded in Meriden CT in 1852. Original lacquer finish has some spots/blemishes. Weighs over 10 1/2 ounces with glass, etc. Another wonderful example from a famous American metalwork company. See also my other B&H items.
