"Sagamore Hill" Vintage Bottle Opener marked "Peerage England" on one side. Measures approximately 4 5/8" long X 1 5/8" wide at opener. Enamel top is brass; magnet sticks to opener, so it's ferrous metal. Enamel, which is in excellent condition, shows blue sky, green grass, and "Sagamore Hill Oyster Bay" [Long Island New York] in red. Teddy Roosevelt resided at this well-known National Historic site from 1885 until his death in 1919. Weighs approximately 2.4 ounces. Unscrews [makes a great finial?] and please note that the top enamel part is at a right angle to the opener for ease of use. Probably dates from 1930s-50s, possibly earlier. Great for the Bottle Opener or Teddy Roosevelt souvenir collector.
