Sterling Pierced Bowl Bon Bon or Tomato Server 5 1/2" Long made by Manchester Silver of Providence Rhode Island. Weighs approximately 14 grams/ 9 dwt/ .45 troy ounce. Manchester used this mark from 1904-1914 until it became Baker-Manchester Company. They were manufacturers of sterling fancy flatware, holloware, and novelties [Encyclopedia of American Silver Manufacturers by Rainwater]. Clearly marked -- with birds flanking "M" in a shield "STERLING"--see photos. Monogrammed "M". at top of handle. Some surface scratches and tarnish spots--in overall good condition for its age--remember flaws are magnified by digital photography. Lovely patterned pierced bowl.
