Continental Porcelain Miniature Perfume bottle with its original hallmarked Sterling top. Measures approximately 2 1/16" tall; approximately 1" round; sterling top is approximately 1/2" tall. Unmarked porcelain dates it pre-1891. Beautifully detailed scene of a couple strolling in the woods, with colors in green, brown, and mauve. Sterling top has indistinct English hallmarks, and has some small dents--see photos. Original cork is still inside the sterling top. Hard to tell [even with a loupe] if the figures are hand-painted or transfers with hand-painted accents, but the rest of the bottle is hand-painted. Purchased in the early 1970s from Shirley Ader, a dealer in French Porcelain and Bronzes. From my personal collection.
