This Arts & Crafts period frame is totally handmade -- not a factory produced item. The frame is walnut inlaid with maple(?), done in a symmetrical design on a pivoting dowel. The base is walnut, and the upright posts are also inlaid. The overall size is approximately 10 5/8" high to the top of the posts, with the frame alone approx. 6 7/8" X 9" and the opening for photo/glass (the lady print is from a magazine) approx. 5 1/2" X 7 3/4". The base measures approximately 3" X 10 1/2" X 1" high. Wonderful piece of Folk Art in its original varnish. Dates from 1915-1920s. One of a kind.
