Judith McCann light topaz brown aurora borealis coated crystal and beige glass bead necklace and earrings set. The necklace has the SUV on clasp invented by Judith McCann. The earrings have the wingback findings invented by Judith McCann. The findings have gold tone metal. The necklace measures 28" long. The matching hook findings measure 5/8" in diameter each. The finding is signed J McCann. There are tiny simulated seed pearl spacer beads. There versatile necklaces supposedly could be worn in 21 ways including as a bracelet and in you hair, not sure how this heavy piece could stay in anyone's hair. The wingback earrings measure 1 3/8" x 7/8" each. They are signed Wingback and have a patent number. The post slides up behind your ear and the wing rests comfortably in place securing even heavy earrings comfortably on your earlobe. This wingback findings was invented by Judith McCann in the 1940's and used by many jewelers but she did not make her own earrings with wingbacks until the 1960's. The colorless rhinestones on the shuvon clasp have darkened over the years from the old glue yellowing, otherwise condition is good. The earrings are in good condition.
