Antique miniature salt glazed teapot with a pewter lid. The piece is moss green. It is signed on the base with the British register mark for the 1860-70's. The pot measures 3 1/2" tall including the lid. It measures 4 1/2" at the widest side view ( from handle to spout). The pot is embossed with a basket weave pattern on the bottom and foliate floral pattern on the top. I do not know if this was made to serve as a single tea cup server or as a child size tea set piece. Condition is good. no chips, no cracks, no discoloration.
