Complete set of 13 Lenox Colonial Christmas wreath plates. The plates were issued in a limited edition with one design per year starting in 1981. They originally retailed at $75 to $100 each. Each plate represents one of the 13 colonies. The plates were issued in the order that the territories became colonies. The plates measure 10 3/4" in diameter each. They have 24K gold trim. Each wreath is made up of items natural to the state the plate represents. The reverse of each plate has the history of the colony written in gold with the Lenox logo. The first plate made in 1981 was Georgia, then in 1982 Massachusetts, 1983 Maryland, 1984 Rhode Island, 1985 Connecticut, 1986 New Hampshire, 1987 Pennsylvania, 1988 Delaware, 1989 New York, 1990 New Jersey, 1991 South Carolina, 1992 North Carolina, and 1993 Georgia. All of the plates are in excellent condition. All are in their original green boxes. Eleven of the boxes have the certificate of authenticity describing the plants and flowers in the wreaths. Nine of the plates have their outer white box. The outer white boxes are quite soiled. One outer green box is badly soiled. The remaining green boxes have a few scratches but most are in good condition. I wish I could show each plate in close up, they are beautiful. You can see the individual plates on the Replacements website.
