Enamel on cranberry glass case with a glass bubble top over a picture of Mary and baby Jesus. Inside of the case is an amethyst glass rosary. I purchased this from a Rhode Island estate . The base of the case is antique but I think that the glass bubble top with the Mary and Jesus photo were added by a previous owner. My guess is the top broke and the clever owner turned this into a rosary case. The case measures 2 3/8" in diameter. It measures 1 1/4" tall. There is a golden colored cord glued around the outer edge of the lid. This has some fraying where the 2 ends meet. The rosary is brass or copper metal. It once had a gold plating as evidenced by the gold coloring under the Jesus on the cross. The main circle or corona of the rosary measures 28" long. The pendant measures 6 1/4" long including the crucifix. The crucifix measures 1 5/8" x 7/8". The pater beads are the same glass as the ave beads but they are larger in size.
