1930 Terri dance purse vanity Compact black enamel rhodium plating
Circa 1930's black enamel rhodium plated vanity case compact shaped like a dance purse. The compact measures 3 1/2" x 2 1/4". It measures 3/4" deep. The front of the compact has black enamel. The cover has a 1" round compartment, the cover is embossed with a dancing couple. This part opens on a hinge to reveal a mirror and powder under a signed "Terri" puff. The front of the purse opens on two hinges to reveal compartments for tiny tissues, lipstick, mascara with a mascara brush, eyebrow pencil and rouge. The black enamel chain handle measures 9" long. The purse itself is not signed Terri but the dancing couple on the front was a logo used by the Terri company of New York. I am including a Terri rouge refill that came from this same estate. There are a couple of streaks in the shininess of the finish on the reverse of the compact, otherwise condition is good.
