Pair of circa 1900 cut steel shoe buckles. The findings are signed Made in France with a makers mark. Each steel buckle measures 2 3/8" x 1 7/8". Each buckle is set with tiny faceted cut steel studs that are individually riveted onto the frame. The buckle have black felt sewn to the frame and they have the original finding that was used to clip the buckles to the shoes. These pieces are often long gone when you find a set of cut steel buckles. Condition is good, no rust, no corrosion, no missing studs.
