Vintage Madame Alexander Tiny Betty "Fairy Princess" Doll All Original!
This sweet little doll is from 1930s and is marked "MME Alexander" on her back and is called "Tiny Betty". She has a one piece composition body and head, jointed arms and legs, a slightly curved right arm and painted black shoes with ribbed painted white socks. The doll is all composition. She has great facial coloring with side glancing painted blue eyes and a tiny painted closed mouth. Her wig is a golden blonde mohair with a high side part.
She wears her original pale lavender blue taffeta "Fairy Princess" gown trimmed with gold sequins and fabric ruffles. She wears her original slip with attached pantaloons in white organdy fabric. Her headpiece is a gold braid which may have been replaced. The dress is not tagged but is definitely original! This "Fairy Princess" is pictured in the book "The Most Beautiful Dolls" by Jane Ruggles Thomas on page 49. A really sweet ensemble!
We have pictured this doll with 2 other Tiny Betty dolls we are selling in other listings. This sale is for one doll only!
