Who doesn’t recognize this famous couple, Blue Boy and Pinkie. Even though their portraits were done by different artists, they hang opposite each other in the Huntington Library in San Marino, California and you often see them depicted together in prints and figurines. This pair of figures shows the incredible detail and delicacy that Lefton artists could obtain. Pinkie has delicate features, pink ruffles on her dress, and a delicate ribbon on her hat that has been caught by the wind as she walks on the grass. Blue Boy has a large feather on his hat, blue ribbons on his shoes and a melancholy look in his eyes. They both have the gold Lefton China Hand Painted mark stamped on the bottom along with the red and gold label Lefton Trade Mark Exclusives Japan which indicates a production time frame between 1966 and 1977. They each are marked with their name, KW387 and Limited Edition.
This pair is in excellent condition with no chips, breaks, or crazing.
