Some very nice details can be found in this pair of elegantly dressed individuals. The woman is reading a book as she strolls outside. The post next to her has a simple vase and vines with large leaves and berries. The gentleman with his waistcoat and cravat carries a walking stick (a little short though) and a flower. He is also by a white post with vase and vines. Each is on a square white base. The bottom of each piece has the gold colored Lefton mark (Lefton China, Crown, and Hand Painted) as well as © geo. z. lefton and GG5752. These marks indicate that they were produced in 1955. Only the man still has the red paper label that states Lefton, Trade Mark, Exclusives, Japan. I believe that the woman also had this label based on the remains of the label.
The condition of these pieces is excellent with no chips, cracks, breaks, or repairs.
The pair stands 8 inches tall and each has a 3 inch square base.
