Set atop a rounded pedestal, this young colonial couple appears to be celebrating spring and each other. The young colonial man carries a mandolin in one hand and a rose in the other. The young colonial maiden carries a pitcher and a rose. The detail on these pieces is very good. Each figure is marked with a red paper label stating Made in Japan as well as a gold colored Lefton China Hand Painted crown mark. They are also marked with the number KW5358. The mark indicates that the pair was probably produced around 1966 or later.
The condition of the man is very good with no chips, cracks, or damage. The condition of the woman is good with one chip on the back of her bonnet (see picture) and what may be a missing leaf petal on her hat (hard to tell). I have provided pictures of both areas. The price of the figurines has been adjusted for the small defects.
Each figure is 7 ½ inches tall with each base being 3 inches in diameter.
