A French Bronze sculpture signed Barye.The sculpture is modelled as a Dane sitting on a naturalistic cast base. The Bronze has a beautiful golden patina and has the cast signature " Barye". Antoine-Louis Barye (24 September 1796 – 25 June 1875) was a French sculptor most famous for his work as an animalier, a sculptor of animals. The quality and detail of this Bronze is excellent. The sculpture is mounted on a grey marble base. This extraordinary Bronze figure is in perfect condition and dated at the early 19th century.
