Alabaster sculpture by Victor H. Seifert ( German 1870-1953) depicting the bust of a little girl. The sculpture is fixed on a brown marble base It is signed "V. Seifert " on the back side and dated 1949.The sculpture is of excellent craftmanship and in perfect condition. Victor Heinrich Seifert (1870-1953) was a sculptor of statues and went to school in Vienna and Munich and studied at the 'Kunstgewerbeschule' ('School of Decorative Arts'). He studied at the 'Berliner Kunstakademie' ('Berlin Academy of Arts').He was one of the most popular sculptors who created war memorials for German towns.
