Antique pair of hand carved winged Cherubs . The sculptures are made of lime wood and carved in the round. They are polychrome painted , their wings are gilded with gold leaf. The Cherubs are of excellent craftsmanship and detail . They have a lovely facial expression. The color has vanished on some spots because oft he age. The very decorative Cherub sculptures are in excellent condition , their origin is possibly Northern Italy. They are dated at the late 19th century
