Antique Meissen Devisenkind porcelain figure „ Je decouvre toute“. The porcelain Cherub is a model of Meissen Devisenkinder and is designed after a design of Michel Victor Acier (1736- 1799). From 1775 he was solely responsible for the artistic direction of Meissen and with his new style became a pioneer of Meissen classicism. In his 15 years of activity he created a variety of figures and other objects that reflect the transition from baroque to classicism.
The figure is polychrome painted and partially gilded. The Cherub is standing on polygonal base. It is in excellent condition and dated at ca. 1880.
Height: 5. 12 inches (130 mm)
