Antique Italian lime wood sculpture of the Christ Child blessing and holding the earthen ball. The round handcarved sculpture is crafted in sitting position and artfully handpainted in red /rose colors on the cheeks and body parts. The sculpture was crafted probably in Naples/ Italy in the 18th century. The museum quality sculpture is in original condition and shows little wear of use and age on the back side.
