Antique French Bronze paperweight with the sculpture of a beautiful Dane sitting on a meadow. The Bronze has a beautiful golden patina and is of excellent quality and detail. It is signed “Barye”. Louis Barye (24 September 1796 – 25 June 1875) was a French sculptor most famous for his work as an animalier, a sculptor of animals.
The sculpture is fixed and a grey marble base and can be used as a beautiful paperweight. This extraordinary Bronze figure is in perfect condition and dated at the 19th century.
