An antique French cross from the Edwardian times circa 1900-1910, fairly large, with an oversized bale and a lot of exquisite details on both sides!
The cross is a silvered metal, (very likely brass) and has a motif of Fleur de Lis, a Sacred Heart with flames and rays, and seveal inscriptions in Latin and French.
The small plaque in Latin at the front reads: "Jesus Nazarenus Rex Judaeorum"
And the French writing at the back says
"Mon pere pardonnez leur" (Father, forgive them)
and this delightful one:
"Voici le coeur qui aime les hommes" (Behold the heart that so loved men)
The cross has character and elegance and will make a very appreciated gift to yourself or a loved one.
CONDITION: In very good condition. Minor loss of silver.
