Hard to resist this fabulous pair of vintage statuettes from Burma with their charming facial features, traditional costumes and exotic instruments.
The sculptures are carved in a fairly strong wood, teak very likely, and hand painted.
They also have these delightful facetted mirrors, some brightly colored, typical of Burma, and inserted in the wood that give them a sparkling finishing touch.
The pieces are from the first part of the XXth Century, 20s to 40s, before Burma closed itself to the world for a long period of time.
We have left the statues untouched so you can appreciate their age, but will be happy to remove all dust from them before shipping them, if you prefer so.
They have a hanging ring at the back, but can also be mounted like Museum artifacts on a small stand, with or without a plexi cubicle.
The pair will bring originality and a touch of prestige to any decor!
CONDITION: In very good condition. The musician who plays cymbals had his left arm glued back. Not very conspicuous.
