An exquisite print from the Edwardian era circa, 1900-1910 published in a famous French magazine of the time named "L'Illustration".
This must have been a centerfold print as it has some lovely matting in 2 gray tones, that fit the image perfectly.
The print was done after a painting by "Cyprien Boulet" whose name appears in the image and under the artwork.
The piece which is called " Before the Ball" shows a beautiful young lady wearing a long silk ball dress and trying a mask in front of an ornate mirror. The mirror is atop a Louis XV piece of furniture.
There is an antique casket to the left, probably holding precious jewelry.
A delightful aristocratic scene of the past, that will bring elegance to any decor!
CONDITION: In very good condition. This is magazine glossy paper for the print, which is intact. The matt is not the strong cardboard of a framing matt, but more of a soft artist's paper and it has some wrinkling particularly along one border. Still I would keep it as the colors are perfect for the piece.
MEASUREMENTS: Total Length: 15". Total Width: 11".
