A rare 1920s original design for a French Art Deco lamp.
The piece is a watercolor/gouache applied on a black card.
The shape of the lamp is pure Art Deco, while the textured glass is "pate de verre" a quality inspired by Beijing glass and which appeared in Europe with Art Nouveau.
These antique lamps were all hand blown.
Kept away from daylight for the past 90 years, it has retained all its vibrant colors.
The artwork is done to perfection, definitely by a very experienced professional!
A very decorative piece with a lot of elegance, which can fit into many decors, from Art Deco to Paris Apartment, Boudoir to Contemporary, etc.
