A fantastic Art Deco portrait published on the cover of "La Vie Parisienne", a famous French magazine, in 1916.
The lady is a beautiful brunette, with short, curly hair, as was the fashion then, and she has the most magical blue eyes!
There is a caption in French in the lower left corner that says "Eyes are the windows of the soul"
The text is not really original, but the portrait definitely is!
It is absolutely striking. And large too.
Although you may miss it at first, If you look closely at the lady's eyes, you will discover her secret.
She is in love, and her tiny fiance's picture is reflected in both her pupils.
The piece is signed "HEROUART" in the plate, a famous French illustrator of the Art Deco times.
