A Greek decor with symbols difficult to decipher today:
a spilled jar, reeds, an ornate oar. possibly a Greek or Latin tale still famous circa 1900.

This petite but amazing artwork was drawn in my opinion by a major artist, very likely in preparation for a painting or a sculpture.

This may explain the lack of signature and also the breathtaking quality of the rendering.
