A delightfully ornate French cross pendant from the Edwardian era, in a fairly good size, for men or women, with lovely motifs and the inscription: "Souvenir de Mission" at the back.
The cross is made of a cast brass, which seems to have been gilt with gold leaf at the origin.
The gilt still has this lovely warm rose tone typical of the era.
"INRI" is written in an oval above the small Christ sculpture, which also has a crown of thorns engraved at the back.
Precious and timeless!
