I had been looking for an interesting 19th Century pipe for a while, and found this fantastic Black Forest piece carved with a deer.
The piece is made of 2 different woods: -the main part is a precious "burl". Walnut, elm, or possibly amboine. The chimney looks like a rustic birch.
The cap, which closes reasonably well, is made of metal, while the dark gray ring towards the base is a kind of clay. The black elements on top are bakelite.
So a lot of refined details on this pipe.
The deer head is cameoed inside a curling hunting horn, and set against oak leaves, typical of Black Forest carvings.
You will love this extra detail: he has a sulphur eye!
A totally unique piece which will enchant all Tobacciana collectors.
Will be shipped "EXPEDITED" from Paris ( 5-7 days ) including online tracking, insurance and signature at delivery.
