A delightful French pin from the Edwardian times, in the Louis XV "rocaille" style, circa 1910.
The pin is an excellent quality bronze cast (not brass stamping) with a lot of realistic details for its size, and well defined shapes like Cupid's lovely putti's face and body, and even his toe!
Cupid is sitting on a swing, with his bow and arrows, in an elaborate decor of roses, typical of the Louis XV style, and aiming at someone who will soon fall in love!
The piece has retained its antique bronze patina, but could be made a little more more golden and shiny with just a dew drops of brass cleaner.
(the orange reflections at the back are from a lamp)
This exquisite piece will bring character and charm to any outfit.
