Published in a mid 1930s French magazine, this is a fabulous print with pochoir, signed in the plate by Paul Robert Bazé (1901-1985) a listed French artist, and representing the zodiac sign "Gemini".
The piece shows 2 magnificent nude males hunting on their horses.
Paul Bazé is not an obscure artist, but a recipient of "Prix de Rome", the most prestigious distinction in European Art.
His works are in major Museums, like the Museum of Modern Art in Paris.
I believe this artwork may have been an advertizing, as "Aquarius", from the same Baze's Zodiac series, was used by the brand Hennessy.
The piece is fantastic, rich and totally original. It has style and momentum, and of course a strong Art Deco feel!
Will bring character and prestige to any decor.
