A stunning French bronze cup or urn circa 1910, in a rare 17th Century style, with breathtaking handles!
Though this is totally invisible, I believe the base has been replaced, (see below) and price has been adjusted accordingly.
The cup has a central cameo with hanging drapes, while both the top and the bottom part have stylized leaves motifs.
Both sides are identical.
What is really spectacular about the piece of course is its handles.
They are extremely sophisticated! Long, with elegant arabesques, they also end, which is quite rare, with two miniature ladies' busts, complete with French pleats and earrings!
Original and sculptural, the piece will bring refinement to any decor.
In very good condition. Piece is a high quality bronze and fairly heavy.
Possible restoration of the base as the urn is hollow.
