An antique three piece water set in silver plate by James W. Tufts. The set is an excellent example of Tufts attention to detail and workmanship incorporating Art Nouveau styling. Butterflies, birds, and flowers are worked against a hand hammered background. The pitcher is engraved on two sides with the years 1837 and 1887. Most likely the set was a gift that celebrated a milestone of 50 years. There is small loss of silver on the pitcher and tray. The cup has more loss and a bit of oxidizing. Overall, the set is quite handsome and a unique collectors piece.
