A beautiful set of French silver plate flatware by Chambly Silver Co of Paris. The Empire style set of 24 pieces features bay laurel wreaths, ribbons, Bell Flowers, and shell motifs. Both front and backs of the spoons and dinner forks are beautiful worked in the same pattern. My research shows this pattern name is “Sans Gene”. It is still being produced today and several websites show the pattern. Dinner knives and other serving pieces are available in the pattern. The ability to add pieces and build on it is an added plus for this set. Prices start for new pieces around $80 and go upward to $130. Each piece in this set are under $40. The set has excellent weight with the spoons weighting 98 grams each and the forks weighting 80 grams each. Perfect for the beach or lake house and less worry than using sterling.
