An antique French sterling silver serving set in the original presentation case. Generously sized with handles worked in .950 silver with roses and acanthus leaves. The large oval cartouche on each piece has not been monogrammed. A lovely set for a formal dinner party or a large family dinner.

The pattern is slightly different on the salad servers but roses and acanthus leaf design is very close to the pieces. The originals may have been replaced. They bear a different maker’s punch than the knife, fork, and bone holder. They work together beautifully.

French silver of .950 as denoted by the head of Minerva with #1 on handles. Maker's punches are being researched

The set is comprised of; Carving knife ; 12 7/8” long and fork ; 11” long; steel blade marked Paris Bone/chop holder; 8” long Salad or serving fork and spoon; 11” long each

Condition report; Very good, surface scratches in accordance with age and use; a few small dings on the handles of the salad servers. Box has some wear and one clasp is missing the small brass nail head that the closure snaps into.
