An antique sterling silver snuff box with gilt interior from the Georgian Era. A handsome piece with foliage work around the edges and an embossed lake scene on the top. The scene depicts a man fishing on the edge of a lake while a sailboat glides past. It is hallmarked for London, 1805. A very nice example for the collector.
English; sterling silver as denoted by the Lion Passant mark, Assay town of London as denoted by the Leopard’s Head, date letter K for 1805, Monarch’s mark. All of these marks are crisp and clear, the maker’s mark is too worn to decipher.
Measurements; 2 1/4“ long X 1 5/8" wide.
