A hand painted and signed Limoges jardinière/vase/planter with matching stand. The jardinière features pink roses tinged with pale yellow on a creamy background. A swirl of blue surrounds part of the planter which is accented with raised gilt Rococo styled swirls. The roses bring to mind the beautiful “Peace” roses. The details of petals, leaves, and thorns have been captured by the artist. A matching base/stand with lion's paw feet has been painted the to match the creamy background of the planter.

The jardinière is marked on the base with for W.G.&Co., France, William Guerin & Co., Limoges, France. (c.1900-1932). The mark on the matching stand is for Jean Pouyat, Limoges, France-green whiteware mark used c.1890-1932.
Measurements; planter, 7” high with a 7” opening. The stand measures 2 ¼” in height for a total display height of 9 /14”
Condition report for planter; very good, no chips, cracks or repairs, A few glaze pops and some loss to the gilt inside the planter, a small amount on the outside edge. The raised gilt swirls have a small amount of gilt loss. Condition report for base; very good, no chips, cracks or repairs. There is loss to the gilt on all four paw feet.
