Antique figural vesta case or match holder/strike from the Victorian Era. The vesta case is shaped as a horse hoof with good details including the shoe. The hoof itself appears to be painted with enamel. On the bottom the strike is set in the frog of the hoof. A script monogram has been lightly applied to the top. The case opens and closes with a firm snap.
