A fine antique Georgian Era sterling silver nutmeg grater rectangular in shape with canted corners. The small box has been beautifully detailed with bright cut engraving. The top features a pin struck panel and a blank cartouche. The nutmeg/spice box has a hinged cover which opens to reveal the steel grating grill.
Highly collectable, nutmeg graters were made in various shapes from simple to whimsical.
