This is a desk lamp manufactured by the Armor Bronze Co. in the 1st quarter of the 1900s. The lamp figure, a man reading a book, is composed of bronze over plaster and retains its original polychrome finish. The lamp stem is brass with entwined leaves and flowers. The glass shade is Art Nouveau with enamel decoration. The lamp stands 18 3/4" high; the lamp base has a pentagonal shape of approximately 4 3/4"w x 5 1/2"l.
