This miniature kerosene lamp was described by Ruth Smith in her first Miniature Lamp book on page 130, figure 272. It is a matched embossed milk glass base and shade with orange-skin textured design and red fired-on paint. It is 8 1/2 "h. It has a nutmeg burner and also the clear glass chimney. The condition is good. There is slight paint loss as pictured and as commonly found; there is roughness to the top of the shade but no cracks or chips. This lamp is circa 1890.
