This is a Machine Age Art Deco desk lamp, circa 1930s. This lamp is substantial in size; it stands 16" with a shade that is 14" across x 5"h x 7"d, and a rectangular base that is 7 1/2" across x 5". The shade tilts from side-to-side but does not tip up or down and has 2 standard based tube bulbs. The chrome finish on the lamp is original -- there is some scratching and surface roughness on the top of the base that does not penetrate through the chrome. There are also a few small scratches on the shade. Due to the reflective surface it's very difficult to photograph. Overall the lamp has a very attractive appearance and is in good condition for being 75 years old!
