This is a circa 1890, elegant, kerosene banquet lamp. The lamp has a height of just under 30" when measuring to the top of the shade; the lamp base has a 7 1/2" width, four feet, and has a shell motif --it has the number, 1017, imprinted on the underside ; the ball shade has a 7" diameter and is milk glass with blue flowers that look like freesia and has the brass ring on the top; the stem of the lamp is the same milk glass with blue flowers and has vertical beading --it has a 4" maximum diameter; the decorative font cover is white metal with cherubs. The tank has a Consolidated burner and round wick but the base of the lamp is not signed. The lamp is complete with an old 10" glass chimney. This lamp has not been electrified. It appears that at some time the white metal has been repainted with gold paint. The components of the lamp are all in good condition, without chips or cracks.
